School Rules & Guidelines

Diary

  • All entries in the diary from the school must be shown to parents.
  • Entries made by parents must be brought to the notice of the relevant school staff.
  • Lost or spoiled diaries will be reissued upon payment of Rs. 100/-.

Uniform

  • Wearing the full, correct school uniform is mandatory at all times.
  • Uniform must be worn even during exams, PTMs, result days, and trips.
  • Label all uniform items with name, class, and section.
  • Sikh boys must wear maroon patka/turban.
  • Identity cards must be worn at all times. Duplicate I-card: Rs. 60/-
  • Hair must be tidy. No excessive hair accessories, tattoos, or nail polish allowed.
  • No fancy jewelry or bracelets.

Conduct & Discipline

  • Maintain strict discipline and cleanliness.
  • Respect school property. Damages must be reported and compensated.
  • Be courteous, avoid shouting or foul language.
  • No bullying or inappropriate conduct.
  • Follow the timetable and carry required materials.
  • Non-veg food, crackers, or color play is strictly prohibited.
  • No mobile phones, smart watches, or electronic gadgets allowed.
  • Speak only in English on campus.
  • Serious misconduct may lead to expulsion.

Punctuality & Attendance

  • Minimum 75% attendance is required.
  • Attendance mandatory on first and last working days of term.
  • School gates close 5 minutes after bell.
  • Leave entries must be filled and signed by parents.
  • Medical certificate required for sick leave.
  • No partial attendance or mid-day departures allowed.
  • Unexplained absence for 6+ days may lead to removal from rolls.

Illness & Isolation

  • Infectious diseases must be reported and students kept home.
  • Medical certificate required to rejoin.
  • Recommended quarantine:
    • Chicken Pox – 3 weeks
    • Measles – 2 weeks
    • Mumps – 2 weeks
    • Conjunctivitis – 1 week
    • Jaundice – 4 weeks
    • Covid – As per govt. guidelines

Tests & Examinations

  • Regular attendance in tests is mandatory.
  • Sick students need a valid medical certificate and prescriptions.
  • No re-tests or make-ups for missed exams.
  • Promotion based on assignments, tests, exams, and classwork.
  • Minimum 75% attendance is needed to qualify for annual exams.

Fee

  • Fees can be paid online or in cash at the school office.
  • Late fees attract fines as per fee structure.
  • Failure to pay fees for 3 months may result in removal from rolls.
  • Clear all dues to receive report cards or transfer certificates.

Library Rules

  • Maintain silence at all times.
  • No personal items allowed inside.
  • Return books within 1 week. Fine: Rs. 5/- per day.
  • Lost/damaged books must be replaced or paid for.

School Transport

  • Report to stop 5 minutes before bus arrival.
  • No route changes or unauthorized boarding allowed.
  • Follow staff instructions on the bus at all times.
  • Remain seated and maintain bus decorum.
  • Do not bring large items or eat on the bus.
  • Violations may result in suspension from bus service.

Expulsion

Students may be expelled for repeated misconduct, poor academic performance, or disobedience. Final decision lies with the proctorial board.

Digital Smart Classes

  • No student may touch Smart Class equipment without permission.
  • Damage or misuse will lead to penalties and possible expulsion.

Cooperation from Parents

  • Read and understand the contents of the school diary. Clarify doubts with the school if needed.
  • Ensure the diary is carried daily and checked regularly for school communication.
  • Strictly follow uniform regulations and ensure cleanliness and hygiene of your child.
  • Ensure your child carries all required books and stationery as per the timetable.
  • Check that homework and assignments are completed daily.
  • Update the school with latest residential and office contact details.
  • Do not give money for school events unless requested via circular.
  • Label belongings and send extra clothes for pre-primary students.
  • Parents must not enter classrooms. Appointments are necessary to meet teachers.
  • Attend all Parent-Teacher Meetings and participate in your child's school progress.
  • Refrain from sending gifts to teachers on any occasion.
  • Mark all personal items with name, class, and section.
  • Private tuitions are discouraged. Encourage self-study at home.
  • No interaction with teachers or students during school hours. Contact P.R.O. in emergencies.
  • Parents should follow dress code when visiting the school.
  • Pack nutritious food and a napkin in your child's tiffin.
  • Parents of pre-primary students must bring parent passes when picking up children.

Hostel Rules

  • Follow the hostel routine including physical activities, meditation, and hygiene practices.
  • Maintain public decorum and represent the school with pride.
  • Valuables, jewelry, and unapproved items are not allowed.
  • Cash is not allowed with students in hostel.
  • Participate in all school/hostel educational activities.
  • Keep cupboards neat; unauthorized items will be confiscated during surprise checks.
  • All belongings and rooms may be checked at any time.
  • Prohibited items: laptops, mobiles, CD players, blades, heaters, irons, etc.
  • Study hours must be respected; no distractions allowed.
  • Any property damage or theft will incur fines.
  • Group study only with prior permission and in common areas.
  • Strict no-ragging and no-bullying policy. Offenders face expulsion.
  • No buying/selling/lending/borrowing among students or with staff/day scholars.
  • Report laundry complaints immediately; use complaint book if needed.
  • Report all maintenance issues promptly to the warden.
  • Occupants are responsible for damage in their rooms.
  • No room service. Sick students will be served in their rooms if required.
  • No passing of items or messages through day scholars. Surprise checks are held.
  • Bathrooms are for bathing only; waste must be disposed properly.
  • No throwing waste from windows.
  • Functions/meetings require permission from authorities.
  • Theft must be reported to the warden immediately.
  • Students must be courteous to staff at all times.
  • Save electricity: turn off lights and fans when not in use.
  • Maintain high personal hygiene standards. Daily baths and clean clothing mandatory.
  • Observe lights-off timings strictly.
  • All sickness must be reported to the warden and noted in the sick register.
  • No self-medication. Medicines must be approved by warden.
  • No vandalism or graffiti; punishable by disciplinary action.
  • Mess menu is decided by the committee and approved by Principal.
  • Follow mess timings; early/late meals only with prior approval.
  • Do not waste food. Do not remove utensils from dining area.
  • Wait patiently during peak dining hours.
  • No outside food is allowed in hostel.

Cooperation from Parents of Hostel Students

  • Parents must read hostel rules. Ignorance is not an excuse.
  • Leave for events only permitted for parents’ or siblings’ functions, with prior written permission.
  • Students must return on time post-vacation. Delay requires written approval from Principal.
  • Phone confirmations with students not valid for leave; verify with warden.
  • Leave applications must be sent with documents to hostel email/WhatsApp in emergencies.
  • Visits allowed only once a month (2nd or 4th Sunday) with prior approval.
  • Only registered guardians with photos may pick students for outings or breaks.
  • Do not send medicines or food unless prescribed and handed to the warden.
  • Students must vacate hostel during holidays. Plan travel as per school schedule.
  • Weekly calls only via official phone on registered numbers. Video calls only on birthdays.
  • Label all belongings. Bring all required hostel items.
  • No mid-session change from boarder to day scholar is allowed.
  • Vaccinations required: Hepatitis A+B, Chickenpox, Cholera, Typhoid, ATT, Allergy shots.
  • Submit basic medical reports at admission including Hb, eye check-up, and history.
  • Parents informed for hospitalization, not for minor ailments treated in school MI room.
  • Do not send homemade eatables or pass items through day scholars. Surprise frisking is conducted.
